minor no more

tomorrow, i'm no longer a minor.
i'll already be 18 years on the face of the planet. it's gonna be 18 years since my mom gave birth to me. 18 years of breathing, moving and thinking. 18 years of surviving, overcoming, fighting and walking on. whether i like what tomorrow would mean or not, it is fitting that i thank God for it.
because tomorrow's my birthday. the 18th.
february 3. and so i claim that february is my month. understandable.
it's remarkable for it's my first birthday since i started using blogger, and since i started running a blog. likewise, this is my anniversary month on blogger. it's been a year, and i'm still doing this. awesome, mr. inconsistent is being consistent on this thing. not so inconsistent after all.
in just a matter of hours i'm not a minor anymore. i am about to be entitled to all the rights and freedom of an adult. but i'm not one. i am still young. a teenager. not an adult. no. just no longer a minor, that's all...but with more freedom.
...or is it supposed to be called freedom?
any other way, another year is to be added to my life. and it's a pleasant gift from God being aware that He's been keeping me alive and sound for that length of time.
to Him, "thanks" as to me,
plus another year. only this time, with a very special meaning. it's once in a lifetime. my minor years are about to be over.
so this is my last day as a minor.
my last hours as a minor.
my last blog entry as a minor.
my last words as a minor.
for tomorrow, i'm 18.
