What a fun, fun, fun finale that was!
The performance night was incredibly awesome, and the final results show, which was even aired live here in my country, was even more breathtaking. And i really loved the thrill. Last night seemed to be a prediction of who's gonna win, that's why. Simon gave all three "rounds" of the face-off to David A., and absolutely, that might have made Cook fans so sad and maybe, mad. I admit that even I, thought that Archuleta would be the winner due to the fact that on the night they sang, David A. appeared to be stronger on the stage. However, as Paula Abdul said, "...may the best man win," so did he.
I'm a fan of both the Davids and I admire them two, yet when it comes to versatility, I'd have to give two hands up to vote Cook. This may sound a bit biased... I'd be glad if David Archuleta had won, but I'm gladder that David Cook rose as this year's winner. I wanted him to win so I'm very happy he did. I'll be the first person to buy his record the moment it's released here! hehehe...
Just a glimpse of some of the judges' comments on him, all of them actually like, predicted that he'd win the whole thing. I remember Paula told him once that she felt like she was already looking at the American Idol after he sang "All I Really Need Is You". And Simon, during top 12 week, told him, "...you actually could win this entire show." Guess all those foretelling were right in the end.
What a great season of American Idol. I'm a huge fan.
