Them Cats

One of our cats gave birth to three little kitties last midnight.
The tiny little cries of the baby kittens was the signal.
This is the mother.
Her name is Ingay, translated as 'noise.'
When we first moved here, and when we were naming the cats who moved in along with us, I was so irritated with how noisy this female cat is I didn't put much thought as to what name to give her.
She's scared of being touched by humans though.
At first there were only two of them.
I named one Salt.
And the other, Pepper.
Until I woke up this morning to the news that there is another kitty.
Paprika. The one lying under Salt's head.
We've actually arranged beforehand that comes another kitty, we'll be giving that name.
Another mom cat we have is Mother Cat.
That's pretty much her name.
She's a little too elusive.
I was lucky to catch her feeding.
She always seems to avoid human contact.
Mallow and Orange are her kids. Or kittens.
They were born a little after we moved here May last year.
There were three of them, actually.
The missing one being Midget.
It was mid-February when we noticed she hasn't been home for quite a while.
Much to our dismay, one day we heard about a kitten found dead in the street.
She was buried before we saw her.
Sadly, their father, Lemon, the one we call Father Cat, died soon after.
He used to be a brawny big cat.
Then all of a sudden, he seemed to lose energy and appetite.
He started to get thin and weak.
The neighbor told us that some kids were seen burying him.
There is a suspicion his death was caused by some harsh playfulness.
I hope not.
This is Orange.
I named him partly because of his color, and partly because I love Annoying Orange.
Of all our cats, he's the one closest to me.
Mallow used to be the fiercest when they were younger.
Now she turns into this soft scared-y little pile of fur when you carry or pet her.
Orange loves to sleep on laps. Especially on mine.
I was taking photos of them when he did this.
This is sweet little curious Milk.
She was born to Mother Cat in December last year.
She had two other siblings whom we've never seen since then.
She's quite ill right now.
Seems to have a cold.
Orange would often run and play around the house with her.
Oh well.
