Gift

Today,
Grandma celebrates her 82nd birthday.
82!
Whoa, that's a lot!
That's why we are so grateful to the Lord for the strength, enduring health and vibrant life He provides for her. She's such a strong woman who looks younger than her age. We know so well how much she's blessed and with that, we too were blessed.

We love her so much. But perhaps not as much as she loves us.
Not every grandma at that age of hers can willingly look after her grandchildren with such passion and perseverance.

So,
tonight we got some food and a cake for dinner. Just a simple home celebration with the family.
And then we sung her the Happy Birthday song. It wasn't a very lovely chorus, but it was loving.
After which, we started eating.
Yum . . .

We were so happy because we should be, and because we indeed are.
Thankful, even.

On other concerns . . .

I left my phone at the mall to be fixed.
Its been weeks since its music player started being so utterly stubborn to easily function until finally it gave up. It became unopenable, if that was the correct word. For short it didn't function any longer . . . useless.
So, hopefully by tomorrow or the day after that, I could pick it up fixed.
I'm Excited.

And I'm currently finishing the book 'Eclipse,' the third one in the 'Twilight Saga Collection.'
Unfortunately, due to time constraints and even more due to unwise time management, I could hardly grab it in a day.
I'm even sadder that somehow I've been neglecting my 'Our Daily Bread' devotional lately.

Sometimes I wish I could have a day when I could just sit, relax, and listen to the sound of silence. Forget whatever things left undone, be free from all my cares.
How I wish that whenever I feel stress pushing heavy over me.

Yet, this day is supposed to be happy.
So, shake off all the stress and the angst,
forget for the moment whatever hangs,
and let the morrow worry for itself.

Oh the cliche . . .

At the end of the day,
it's still a
"Happy 82nd Birthday, Grandma!" day.
I remember telling her she's getting younger again when I greeted her this morning.
She loves that.
