Daily Gratitude: Launch

I had this idea about some kind of practice, though I'm not sure if this is a first.
There's this desire of mine to see life at a more positive, optimistic tone rather than a serious, stressful perspective.

So,
from this day forth,
day by day I'll be writing a post about something I'm grateful about. At least one. From the smallest, inconspicuous things people often tend to take for granted, to the biggest blessings.
Sort of like counting my blessings, seeing the beauty in everything, being thankful to God for His kindness and generally making every moment worthwhile.
And every post dedicated to this purpose will be entitled "Daily Gratitude." Gratitude to God in particular, and most of all.

So, on this first "Daily Gratitude" post . . .

I am thankful that my phone was now fixed.

It was something I mentioned in my post last Monday.
The one impairment about my phone was its music player. It just won't turn on. Sometimes, when I try to boot it, it would make my phone restart. I suppose it got infected with some kind of virus after I copied some new songs form our computer into its memory card. That was I suppose, about a month ago.
But after about two days since I left my cellphone at the mall (Sometimes I prefer to think it was hospitalized, and it underwent an operation. Being imaginative. Hahah..), I picked it up just this noon, and it was back to perfect condition.
The music player is back to life!
In fact, I'm even more thankful that, in a way, it kind of got upgraded. I found some new ring tones and themes that weren't there before.
It felt like buying my cellphone anew.

I'm also thankful that - as of last night - I have coped up with my "Our Daily Bread" devotional.

I was seven days late, and I felt very guilty that in that length of time, I wasn't reserving some time for it, and perhaps, for God too.
My "daily bread" wasn't being daily.
So when I started reading (and pray-thinking), I felt revitalized. And I realized that I in fact was. I'm so thankful to God for the privilege and the honor of reading His word. Not to mention the gladness, the joy, the wisdom and the learning I received.
God is so faithful to me, even though I barely - maybe do not at all - deserve that.
So there's just no other better response than to worship Him, to love Him, and to thank Him.
. . . and to make a resolve that I will now make my daily bread indeed daily.

. . .

I see a beautiful habit in the making.

Flash update:
I think it would be much better if I don't entitle each "Daily Gratitude" post with the habit name. I just realized that in the long run, it would sound redundant.
So instead, next time, it's going to be just simply implied on the post meant for a thankful purpose. It would be easily recognizable if it is a "Daily Gratitude" post.
I might even mention it sometimes.
