An Account

Days can really seem to fly me by. Apparently, I haven't been able to make any update here since the first day of May. I'll admit it's not just that time flies so fast for me now or that I got so busy (I never was so) but simply put, I was just being lazy to blog. But if I wasn't, I think I wouldn't have any significant thing to say anyway. Yet it's been more than two weeks now, so there can be pretty much to put into account to make a substantial post.

May 1st, Friday
Our church's family day went so happy (and soaking wet). It was a day of swimming, laughter, playing, and not to mention baptism to a few people. All of us here at home joined that once-a-year outing/swimming of the whole church family. Indeed, there were a lot of us! Lots of other families were there.

During that day, I let myself loosen up and laugh a lot that I wondered if anybody thought I was on drugs. I was literally seeing no bounds to the fun I can get. One of the best parts of that day for me was when we played basketball on the water. There wasn't a net around so the slide was the improvised basket.

When we got back, we (the music team) managed to have a practice for the coming Sunday's praise 'n worship. We had to do it despite our exhausted bodies because our guitarist said he wouldn't be available the following day. The practice was adequate though.

May 3rd, Sunday
I was worshipleader at the service in the morning. I wore my new dark brown hoodie shirt which looked neither too formal nor too casual for the pulpit.

Pacman Manny Pacquiao won his fight against Ricky Hatton. The match only lasted for two short rounds. How did Manny do that? Mind-boggling!

In the afternoon, we brought my bestfriend's mom to the airport. She was leaving for Dubai. My bestfriend and her two younger sisters were surely sad to see their mom go, and I don't know exactly if I was able to provide any kind of relief somehow. It reminded me of those times when I'd experienced the same thing myself, so I can't avoid having watery eyes, since indeed I can relate. But I didn't cry, though I was sharing in the sadness.

May 5th, Tuesday
It was the first day of the music workshop at church but my cousin and I weren't able to attend because we had a rendezvous with someone around the nearby mall. Disappointingly, they weren't there. Good thing that wasn't the only reason why we had to go. Good thing the mall is just around.

Wednesday
I went to church for the workshop.

Thursday
Workshop canceled due to bad weather. I mean, due to really bad weather. I got to watch Avatar most of the lazy gray day.

May 8th, Friday
Workshop back to activity.

May 9th, Saturday
Practiced for the next day's praise 'n worship. My cousin was the worshipleader.

May 10
Mothers' day. Greetings all around.

We attended worship service in the morning as regular. I played back-up vocal along with two others.

In the afternoon, I don't know but I kind of got the kick out of nowhere to just clean the house. Well, not really the whole house. That would be unbearable. And if it was, a day is not enough. Anyways, I organized a lot of stuff, most of which are books, and I dusted off shelves and other areas. In the end, I gave myself a pat at the back after seeing that my efforts paid off.

In the evening, me and my cousin went to the mall to buy our copy of the Twilight Saga! Finally, we have our own set of the Stephenie Meyer novels. Since we saw the Twilight film, we've been searching for the books, but there was ever hardly anything available. So when my cousin found out that there are now available copies at the nearby mall (the same one I'd mentioned a while ago) we went immediately.
Today I'm a little more than halfway through the first book.

11, Monday
My friends took me for a walk around. Around... just round and round. Whenever we ask each other where to go, all we can give as an answer was: "Wherever our feet take us." Oh, I thought, but what if our feet take us to separate directions? Hahah.. We walked together the whole time anyway.

Wednesday the 13th
American Idol is down to its top 3: Danny, Kris and Adam. They performed two songs each.

May 14, Thursday
At 4:30 pm, we went to church for our praise 'n worship practice. But for some reasons, we didn't get to start until around six.

We watched only the replay of AmIdol's results show later in the evening. Danny Gokey was the one voted off, and I've read about it on the internet even before I went to the practice. We're kind of late when it comes to the airtime, since we're not in the USA.

Today
I still gotta make the most of this day. Till next post..
