The guy came yesterday at dusk to check our defective electric lights (and only the lights) and see if he can fix them and/or their faulty wiring, like I have mentioned in my previous post. It turned out we're having a more serious, more difficult to fix problem - yes, we still can't turn our lights on, and yes, Earth Hour has taken and is still taking longer than Earth Day. Sigh...
Apparently it was pretty tough to check things yesterday already 'coz it was dark, and even tougher to fix it so he said he'll just try to come back some other time in daylight when he could see way better, thus upping the odds of getting it repaired. He switched off the line on our electric panel that connects to the faulty wiring to make sure there's no power running, making it safe for us. Unfortunately I got no affirmation as to when he'd come back to finally fix things up.
Why he came late? He has a full-time job somewhere else, that's why. And that somewhere is our former school.
Just hope Earth Hour won't become Earth Week.
