whoa, voices!

I've been viewing American idol winners recently through youtube. Some of them are Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Hicks. I am just naturally curious about how these guys perform before so many people and a team-up of three fearsome judges that they made it through to be the winners of the very famous singing competition. I'm also interested about what life was for them before they became stars, how they carry themselves to overcome nervousness, how they react to great or distracting feedback and results, what kind of personality they have that they got to the top over other also talented aspirants they battled against during the times of the competition on the season wherein they were champions, what kind of voices do they have and what happened when they first auditioned.

I haven't observed a lot but what i noticed lately is that these formerly aspirants and present-day Hollywood singers have very strong stage-presence. When they perform, it seems as if nobody else owns the whole place or stage, sometimes even the entire hall, but them. There isn't an evident amount of uneasiness in their singing, somewhat convincing me to think that they aren't afraid of hitting high notes because there's no chance of failing. There's some connection that they establish, like compelling the audience to listen only to their voice. They're packed with lots of confidence. And that's a very big talent. So to a person like me who loves singing so much, these observations may do a lot if i apply them whenever i get the chance to. However, would i ever get a chance? Well, there's nothing wrong with hoping...haha...

Just an additional, i also realized that these people could really belt high! Somewhere in the video of Kelly Clarkson and Fantasia Barrino's duet that i watched yesterday, I was really astonished hearing them hit high notes so good! Hearing it got my heart pounding...it's true. That's my reaction everytime i listen to singers aiming for high notes and belting them out. And of course these guys really have a knack on hitting the notes correctly, may it be high or low.

Whoa, voices!
