Facts About the Vacation

It's been exactly two weeks since our graduation ceremonies took place. With temperatures reaching 35 degrees Centigrade, there's no denying that it's so officially summer, and, though I feel obliged to soon be employed, a vacation.

But a summer vacation isn't always jam-packed with fun - outings, swimming excursions, trips to the best parks. Here's what's actually going on for me in this vacation.

Expectation: I'm studying a new programming language, and enhancing my skills on one I already know.
Reality: I've only gotten two steps far and haven't moved further for the longest time. I'm not studying now at all.

Expectation: Relief will consume me in the days following graduation.
Reality: I'm bored and itching for productivity, feeling unproductive than ever.

Good thing: I'm "quite" (by 'quite,' I mean 'a bit,' 'somehow') busy working on my application for... something. Right now I'm on the waiting stage, until I get those necessary documents. Lodging my application form would follow.

We held a small party at home on the Saturday succeeding our graduation day. We invited a couple of relatives, friends, classmates, and professors.

A missed opportunity: an overnight mountain climbing trip with my "old" classmates. Though many of us weren't able to go as well anyway, those who trekked are to be envied to pieces.

Last week, Thursday, I was at one of those old classmates' birthday. Whether I ate a lot is out of the question; it's a given.

I've got two books waiting to be read. I just haven't had that special gusto to grab and munch on them yet.

My mom's still here, and so is her sister, my aunt. Come first week of May, they'll be leaving for Holland. I don't know how many times I've said this, but it really does feel to me like time flies swiftly.

Last Saturday, me and my mom went by ourselves to a mall in Manila, for the sake of going to that mall in Manila. We just about spent the whole day walking around the place.

I haven't swam - whether in a beach, pool, even a bucket - no, not. But some time soon, as my friends are planning, I'll probably be plunging in a nearby resort.

The family has had some time out but we haven't really scheduled a specific recreational trip, like to a park, or the zoo, wherever.

Last but not least, I'm broke - FOR NOW, JUST FOR NOW.

I can't believe I just put that in there.
