Now although the sky was quite gray on the earlier parts of the day, we had a really hot, sunny noon.
And it was seriously hot all around.
Being exposed to the sun after finally getting out of the house for school was somewhat scorching to my hair, my skin, even my head.
I went home by myself.
And on my way, it seemed as if it just got hotter. Perhaps the pollution and everything in the place where our school is contribute to that increase in heat.
It was burning hot that...
If I were ice,
I would've melted within just three steps.
You see the sun's rays on the upper right corner?
If I were water,
I would've boiled and evaporated in just a minute.
If I were a slice of bread,
I would've been toasted - "just add some butter."
When you get to walk under a tree like this, you'd have that grateful feeling for the shade.
And then the next second, you'll be grieving as you realize you can't take it with you.
If I were loam soil,
I would've dried up and have become concrete.
If I were human,
I would've gotten dehydrated... or so I felt.
The vehicles (particularly the shiny ones) reflect the heat and the brightness. Certainly not something to look at.
Fortunately and apparently, I made it home with even longer walks than what you might foresee through these pictures.
An umbrella would be advisable to bring next time.
So with all the things to do enlisted for this week (enrollment, submission of requirements, etc. plus voter's registration) I declare the sem break is over.
