Stunned

I couldn't be more flummoxed by this "our lights won't turn on" thing. Just last night, somebody came here to check it but said it's got damage that's harder to repair, especially on a dark time of the day. This time, they called up another guy to fix the lights, and he came at about the same time as the first one did last night - it turned out they have the same situation, having a full-time job during the day, so the only time they can offer their service is after six o'clock. Well I don't know exactly what he did but, in a little while, he got it fixed. I was mystified by how he made the lights turn on - yes, the long Earth Hour (that I have been saying again and again) is now over. Lights are now on. As in, now.

It's also fun how the two of them were similar in another way: they both did not accept the payment we were giving. I understand why they declined, knowing that to them it was nothing so tough, laborious or time-consuming, but it was more like a kind gesture and a way of saying thank you in another way. It's OK though. Or so OK rather.

Despite the lights having been "OK" now, there's a lingering anxiety/suspicion going on in me and perhaps my cousin too that something beneath the ceiling needs yet to be checked.
