yipee!
haha...
i watched american idol's elimination last night. they have sifted the aspirants thoroughly until they have chosen which ones will make it to the coveted top twelve. during the beginning of the show, i felt the cold nerves on my fingers again, thinking that my favorite, ramiele malubay might not be able to perform again next week. i thought she isn't part of the top twelve, but thank GOD i was wrong! she made it through to the next week and i have a strong feeling she'll get farther in the competition. yet what i hope is that she becomes the next american idol and the first and only filipino american idol. well, that really won't come easy. it's gonna be so tight because she has many other good rivals. anyway, whatever happens, i'll always like her.
sadly, four of the top 16 contestants had to go home to give way to the top 12. the eviction made the night tearful again, as the contestants have gradually developed a close friendship with each other. the scene of making some aspirants go their ways home was i thought, gloomy, but it's reality: it's a singing competition, and only one of them has to win.
the first to go home among the girls and among them all was kady malloy. it has been predictable to them, to me and even to kady herself because it's apparent that she's not that likable and her vocal control is weak.
the next one to leave was luke menard, whom i didn't like that much...so, no effect on me...hehe..
after him, another girl went home. surprisingly, she's one of my favorites, and she's asia'h apperson. i liked her performance and her vocals so i'm irritated that the one who stood at the center stage, hand in hand with her, who was kristy lee cook, whom i thought didn't make a convincing performance last thursday night (Philippine date), made it through. but then again, someone always has to leave until the winner is chosen.
the last to leave was a.i 7's openly gay contestant- danny noriega. i liked it that he left finally, because to me he is always over performing. his facial expressions and gestures are sometimes nasty, and his voice isn't that good...i think. predictably, when he was eliminated, his close friend in the singing battle cried a lot...really a lot. she's my favorite, ramiele...hehehe...
it seems to me that danny is ramiele's best friend. it looks like they're close to each other. i remember last night, the camera often closed up on her reddish face as she was really crying to the departure of her close friend. it's sad...
back to the happy side, my liked one is in to the top 12! congratulations, my fellow filipino! i know you'll get farther! just believe in yourself, put your faith in GOD, (wow! i hope she's seeing this..hehe...) and let them see what you're made of.
-this is early...-
;P
